Well, after Alma left us, we had two of the most beautiful days I have seen in Costa Rica, and the monkeys were out in full force (starting at 5:30 in the morning). Here is a picture and a video of the monkeys; this was literally right off my back porch. I love my new place, windows, air conditioning and a LOT of monkeys.
To update you on more important things, after a large group effort, Mitzi’s house is now free of water and mud, as is Jose’s. Victor’s house was so damaged that he has had to move out permanently (he was renting) and he lost everything but his clothes, but he has found a new place to live on the 2nd floor of a house in Quepos.
Thank you SO MUCH to all who have donated to help these families rebuild some of what they have lost. I am going to wait until the end of the week and plan to give the money to them on Friday. And for all of you who have kept them in your thoughts, it means a lot.
Now enjoy the monkeys!
When you watch the video, make sure your sound is on bc these monkeys are LOUD! The first probably 10 seconds you will only hear them, then you will see the chaos that ensues right off of my back porch every day. It never gets old watching the monkeys… and I plan to post more videos later. I have approximately 7 million of them! I apologize for the low tech video; it is not from a video camera, just my regular camera. And sometimes I get so excited watching the monkeys that I forget I am videoing and things go a little hay wire. But it is still amazing all the same.
